I don’t know what road you came into my life,
like a breeze that doesn’t ask where it’s going,
but since the day I saw you myself…
My heart sings another song.

I loved you without noise, without big words,
as a star loves the sky in darkness,
as a flower waits for a raindrop,
as a soul waits for a good light.

In your eyes I found a world,
where every pain slowly fades,
and when you smile at me I forget everything,
as if love has only one word.

If one day roads divide us,
don’t think the heart will forget,
because loves that are born true,
neither time nor distance can end.

And if they ask me what love is…
I won’t look for answers in books,
I will say your name with a smile,
because you are the answer my heart gave me.

And in the evening when everything is silent,
when the moon stays awake over the roofs –
you will hear a heart far from you,
still calling you: “I have loved you.”
