HOW MUCH I WANT…
I want to gather the freedom of the world in my palms of light, so that in the eyes of a child not a single dot of pain remains.
I want to touch pain without asking where it comes from, to tell the tired heart… “Don’t be afraid, someone finds you.”
I want to light a star at dawn for the streets without light, where hope has faded, to plant a beginning.
I want to join lonely hands with love, and bring every wounded heart near warmth.
If the world has tears, let me have a smile; if the night has pain, let me give it a ray.
Because I don’t want to be just a voice that speaks of mercy, I want to call the world’s tear a smile…
Peace in my soul.
